I agree that your item looks like a helical resonator used
in two meter repeater duty. It is used to notch out the local transmitter,
which is on a different but very close frequency, from the reciever freq.
because in repeaters the xmtr and rcvr are operating at the same time. Our
club
repeater unit wears a similar sign, DO NOT TOUCH!
