    No, since it is probably more practical and easier to make a
Cockroft-Walton
multiplier of said voltage than to rectify a TC.  However, it would
probably not be hard.  Simply
arrange a series of needle/plane gaps (imagine a set of metal, fine tooth
brushes set end to end),
with suitable airflow over them, such that the breakdown voltage of the lot
was slightly higher than
the TC is capable of.  This device is analogous to the point contact
rectifier, except the
"semiconductor" is the characteristics of discharge in air, which tends to
favor positive discharges
over negative ones.
