Multiplier Powered Tesla

Original poster: "Cory Roussel by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <imcuddlycory-at-yahoo-dot-com>

Hallo,

Has powering a TC with a properly designed Marx
generator ever been done?? How would it differ from a
normal system?

My idea is to have a MOT which supplies a nice current
for charging caps, that runs into a Marx multiplying
cascade (method of charging caps in parallel then
discharging them all in series) that has MMC caps and
some sort of switching device (mabey a RSG made with
multiple disks...) which powers directly into a TC's
primary... This would definately be a more complex
design then normal TCs because of the switching
between Parallel and series done in the multiplier...
any comments on this idea??? anyone ever tried it?

thanks again,

Cory Roussel

p.s. Mabey the high frequency could be sacraficed at
the expense of VERY high voltage and current spikes...
i dunno just an idea....
