Hi Chris,

By one pulse I'm assuming you are refering to a single discharge of the
main cap.
The term that's been thrown about is "Single Shot Mode" and are the words
you might
want to search with in the archives. I believe this is done via a dc charge
over a
long charge rate so that after the discharge, there is a considerable amount of
time before the next discharge.
