Hey Adam,
I had the same trouble here but found a solution. Call around to all the
plumbing shops in the area(Mom and Pop types)and tell them what you
want. I got a 3-4 ft section for 5 bucks delivered!! Another good place
is construction sites. These guys will even give you stuff sometimes
(like a used ground rod). You pull it up and you can have it. They use
them for grounding the cranes and stuff. When they are done they chuck
them all. Same goes for PVC, heating pipe, wire, etc etc.
Call around and you will find someone who will accommodate.

i can
