Joyon: a suggestion to add to your comment. THE SPARK NEADS TO BE HIGH
RESISTANCE TO TRIGGER THE SPARK. THE USE OF CARBON IGNITION WIRE IS ADVISED.
  This will prevent the main spark gap firing into your coil and not where it
should go. This also saves your trigger circuit from being distroyed.
