         Some of them.
         While most modern experimenters work with
         'descendants' of Tesla's last (or later) coils,
         Tesla got to them by development, step by step,
         trial and error.  This book, written before
         Colorado SPrings Notes follows his evolution,
         and explicitly, or implicitly, covers many of
         the 'whys' (within the boundaries of the time).

         Also has sundry 'experiments' (as: the concentric
         loops), which may be of interest for smaller
         systems.
