Re: HElllP!, did I fry my NST?

Original poster: "by way of Terry Fritz <twftesla-at-qwest-dot-net>" <PLUGHzz-at-aol-dot-com>

OK, so far I removed the back of my NST and heated up in the oven to 400 deg
(wife was at a fundraiser , hehe ) left it in there for almost 2 hours until it
was runny through and through, then tried to get an arc from the one side HV
terminal that was bad and it would still not arc. SO I had about another hour
or so until wifey came home so I cranked up the oven to 500 and let it simmer
for about 20 mins and then ran it out to the garage and set it up on two
buckets over some cardboard and let the tar run out. When I dumped it the HV
wires were ripped from the secondaries , the secondaries are a very very very
fine hairlike copper wires. Im assuming it can be fixed so now its soaking in
paint thinner removing all of the extra tar.

Can anyone tell m! e my next step to rebuild this sucker or recommend a good
site with pics?

THanks
