Hi Ken
Can you advise what type of meter you were using to measure the secondary
current with at 2745mA pse

I have measured the PEAK current of a MOT (ie the brief charging current
into a capacitor ) at around this value but need to do more work to check my
method.

I have this idea that with capacitive loads that it is possible to cancel
out some of the leakage reactance of a xfrmr and actually obtain more
current than you would expect from the simple volts/capacitive reactance.

I know this runs contary to the notion of secondary capacitive ballasting
but I have the feeling that it is not all that simple and some values of C
will increase I O/P
