Pieter,

PT's are Potential Transformers - aka Pole Pigs. These are the big muthas
that hang on the pylons taking grid voltage down to mains voltage. They are
of course, run in reverse for TC use, with some kind of current limiting.

I have no idea what XRTs are - Its hard to imagine anything badder than
multiple pole pigs! Over to Terry...
