Re: Where to get 4kv 20ma NST?

I did the GMHEICSLR thing. I got i think 11.75" 2 times then i saw a bright
flashing inside of the coil. Unfortunatley it wasnt a GM coil. It was
actually some cheap coil that was used for a few years, a friend gave it to
me.

But anyway the power level(of the mini coil) isnt 80W , but rather ~ 152
watts since you remove 1/2 the shunts to make it suppply 38ma rather than
20. I can get even more overrated caps!! How about this: 1 string of 13,
.33uf 1200v caps for .0253uf at 15.6kv!! I would think that these caps
would work great for this little 150w coil!! Also if we are judging by
input VA, wouldnt we need to eliminate any possibility of PFC caps?? It
would really be much easier to use that specific france former.

Thanks Dan, i will go talk to some local shops and see if they have them.
Wish me luck. I wont be able to get it for another week or so because i am
$100 in debt with my parents for some CD caps i ordered.
