Hi Rodney,

Bare #24 AWG is about 0.0201" in diameter. McMaster-Carr indicates 
that  the OD for their insulated wire is 0.022". The insulation thickness 
is (0.022-0.0201)/2 or 0.00095" or 0.95 mils. Sounds like it's single build 
(single insulating layer) 185C magnet wire.
