I got approximately that result from a 5kV 30mA transformer a few
years ago. One of these days I'm going to go all-out to see what the
best I can do with that transformer is.  have a secondary, primary
and variety of caps and gap. Trouble is that I'd have to move a
bundle of sensitive devices from the garage (not to mention the
lawnmower, petrol can etc.) in order not to wreck anything (garage
included). Lots of hassle.
