I used to work in a foundey that made cast steel Train parts.
I have also worked for a company that made waterfountains
Bird baths you name out of concrete or plaster
all molds must be vented some how for air or gases ect. to escape not only 
for safety reasons so there is no explosion hazard but for quallity of the 
finished product.
