Re: Joining two rolls of wire on the secondary coil

Hi Jack,

I had the same problem when I wound my 15" coil. I had to make two splices
as I was only able to get the #14 wire on 10lb spools, and needed 30lbs. Do
a lap solder splice, making sure the ends are as smooth (no sharp ends) as
possable, and coat with corona dope. I never even saw a racing spark come
off them. If you are past the half way point, then use what you have as the
top of the coil. Always try to keep splices towards the bottom of the coil.
