In most cases it usually hits the NST.  With caps, many experimenters use
caps not designed for high rep rates so they will die quicker with a
mismatched circuit.

Anytime your circuit is properly matched your components will last much
longer.

I've learned this lesson the hard way --- through bad experiences.
