I assume you mean a ham transceiver with a phone patch or something. My
guilty secret: I used to be crazy about ham radio when I was in my teens. I
had an assortment of gear that I used regularly including a 5 watt 430MHz
handheld, a 50 watt 70MHz transceiver and a 100 watt HF (3.5-28MHz) rig. I
must have been exposed to plenty RF because all my antennas were on the
roof about 8 feet away from the operating position. Some other hams that I
knew said that too much RF could give you a headache. I certainly
experienced this, but I can't prove cause and effect: Other things give you
headaches too, after all. Anyway, that was 10 years ago and I have no brain
tumours (that I know of) yet. The worst I got was some RF burns off the
morse key, when I wired up my HF antenna wrongly.
