With a "coin crusher" and similar one-shot devices, its not the power supply
that is providing the power.  The power is provided soley by the capacitor
bank.  Whether you charge a
capacitor bank with a 100mA source or a 1mA source, it will still charge the
capacitor bank, except it may take much longer to charge a very large
capacitor bank with only
1mA current.  And also, this is assuming that the leakage current of the
capacitor bank is less than 1mA otherwise it may not be able to charge at
all.
