Hi Dr,

I've used these, but the thing to watch with the
brass, and possible the chrome ones is that the
coating on the outside is very thin and would probably
burn away quickly.

The brass ones are actually steel on the inside, I
usually insert them into my drill and sand it all off
with some high grit paper.
