     The correct answer is that a NAME is pronounced however the individual 
person having the name CHOOSES to pronounce it, independent of regional or 
national or linguistic conventions. The classic story is one of a Mr. 
Ghoti, who pronounced his name "Fish", as follows:
GH as in rough, O as in women, and TI as in nation. ;-))))
