I reckon that if you can make it work with a static gap, it should also work
at least as well, if not better, with a rotary.

The rotary gaps shouldn't need to be set any narrower than the static gaps
were, although it's always a good idea to go for the narrowest gap spacing
you can safely achieve (it reduces the chance of missed firings)
