1) corona at the edges will become conducting, as voltages go up.
    Can't speak tot he losses inherent in this mode...)

2) _conductive_ adhesive metallic tapes are available, tho
not widely, and, i suspect, not cheaply.  (and i don't know exactly HOW
conductive the adhesives used are...).  Such tape is used
in emi/rfi test etc...
