Hi Peter
My RCD's also tend to trip at 5 to 7KW. It has been unpredictable however
and not a problem recently. I have never worked out where the problem was.
Suppression circuits have the caps tied to ground and this was the source of
a problem in one HV set-up but not others. I have tried shielding the ARSG
motor mains cable (to the RF earth). I suspect direct radiation into the
abundant mains wiring in my shed picks up enough to trigger them. Not
really a problem since my lasers and railgun have invaded my TC space which
means they have to run outdoors.
Cheers
