Steve,

I'm not real good on the math, but I believe that your 14.4 kV pole pig
wouldn't have time to fully charge a .097 uFD cap at around 480 bps. The
.024 uFD would be a more practical size for such a high brake rate as this
size would allow the transformer to more fully charge the cap between each
discharge cycle. If you were running 120 bps sync, then I would tend more
toward the .097 uFD size cap.
