The reason for selecting a minimum secondary height was stated a number of
times.

Here it is again:

Select a minimum height based on expected power input, to prevent numerous
strikes to the primary/strike rail.


Why not make it larger than this, or what are the *maximum* size selection
parameters?

1) cost

2) practicality, i.e. say you need at least a 1.5m terminal height for a 1kW
TC, why bother trying to make and store a 100m high x 20m diameter coil in
your garage when it only makes 1.4m sparks?
