You're right about those diodes--a pain in the back end.  I can't
understand why IR & others had not, long ago, alternately packaged their
MOSFET lines that way.  I've blown out essentially as many Schottky
diodes as MOSFETs (dozens upon dozens upon...) during my "career"--but,
interestingly, only a very few antiparallel diodes.
