Science First in NY has 14" spheres with a 3" PVC hole cut in the center
of them for under $100.00.

It is a 10" or 12" polished copper sphere with a neat
access hole already cut in it. Could be just the
ticket for a homebrew VDG. Might make a really cool
looking TC terminal too.
