Metal halide balasts

I work at a casino here in Las Vegas.
They are taking out a bunch of metal halide lights and converting to 
another type.
The ballasts are going away (trash can) was wondering if these are of any 
use for maybe a future TC.  I could snag as many as I can catch before they 
hit the trash.

They are 150W ballasts multi tapped to be used with voltages of 120, 240, 
277 etc.  is there a way to use these as supply transformers?  Or maybe 
used for another fun HV project.  Need an answer soon before the 
opportunity is gone.  And if they can be used how do I go about doing so?

If anyone is in Vegas I could hook you up with some as well.
