I'd have to disagree with this. The voltage and current are both high in
big transmission lines. The conductors are quite large, they just look
small from the ground. Even tiny substation transformers are rated in mega
to tens of megawatts. That's not possible with low currents and high
voltages. They are probably in the hundreds if not more amps range.
