It is much more likely that Tesla was 100-200% off in the CLAIMED voltages.

as to the delayed health effects, you can easily use Tesla as a
example, he repeatedly exposed himself  high voltage RF currents and exposed
himself to x-rays and he lived to be quite old only succumbing to ill health
after being hit by a car.

  Tesla's acute mental decline in later years could also show that chronic 
exposure to Tesla Coil RF energy through the body is neurologically harmful.
 From your kind of reasoning, it is possible to conclude that long term 
x-ray exposure is totally harmless.
