Well, it was for a 120bps gap, so that implies that the motor
naturally synched at a 90 degree interval.  If thats the case then you
are fine.  When i look at the stator on this motor i can see that it
is in fact a cubic chunk of metal with a round core around it.  Im not
sure if this is what hysteresis types look like, but it sure never had
any problems with locking onto some other phasing.  Since no one runs
below 120bps anyway, i would say that mis-phase locking simply is not
an issue.

Did that, same 4 bands in the same place, every time.
