Are you saying an incandescent bulb won't light up in
a microwave by it self, or with a cup of water also in
the microwave?

I've gotten incandescant, flourescent and mercury
vapor bulbs to light up in a microwave. Had a hard
time getting mt CRT's to do anything though.
