Homemade Reverse Jelly Roll Capacitor

Hello there. I'm currently using a capacitor made from foil tape and semi-clear plastic bags used for holding fruits and veggies. The foil tape is unpeeled from the wax paper for easier handling. I wrapped layers upon layers of bags around a length of foil tape then put another length of foil tape over it. After that, I rolled it up like a carpet and held it with a rubber band. It's compact and has a higher capacitance than 6 bottle caps. I knew about the inductive effects so I rolled the two layers
in reverse midway in order to create two counteracting inductances. I'm not sure if this is effective in canceling the effects. Inductive effects aside, this seems like a very cheap and compact way to make high value hv caps. Any thoughts?
