RE: 20 joules at 100 bps vs 4 joules at 500 bps - any difference?

Hello all,

I did some researching on BPS and bang size during summer '04. See

http://www.iki.fi/dncmrc/meas/performance.htm
http://www.iki.fi/dncmrc/meas/perf_bps.htm

In a nutshell:
- For short distances BPS didn't influence performance
- For longer distances a higher BPS facilitated reaching of the grounded target
- The number of bangs needed to reach the target was NOT dependant on the BPS

A higher BPS helps the breakdowns to "strighten" towards the grounded target. The number of bangs needed to reach it is still always the same.

Regards
