Ed and Wes,
I've never had the privilege of meeting Bill Beaty but I have been reading his writings for many years, ever since I first became seriously interested in electronics as a hobby. IMO, he is a wonderful and invaluable source of scientific information in many different areas but most of all in electronics. One of my favorite things of Bill's is the section of his web site that refutes many common misconceptions and offers clear and distinct explanations of the correct information. As you say, once you have entered Bill's web site, you can get lost and immersed for hours on end. It is really fascinating and informative and includes links to many other very informative web sites. I believe that Bill is an incalculably valuable treasure-trove of knowledge and education and I constantly encourage my children to read his web site and to have them to try and get others to do the same. I wish we had a million more just like him. I truly believe the world would be a better place.
Paul
