I would say the color was tan to dark tan when looking down through it. The stuff that spilled was on a white ceramic tray (from a old microwave we used to have) and it was yellow in color (not having any depth to it).

yep, to burn pcb you would have to get the heat very high. it might be
castor oil or mineral or diala transformer oil. castor oil usually has a
kind of yellow look to it. cul brian f.
