I like Terry's method, good ol' stretch wrap. I imagine saran wrap is close to the same thing, and only a few bucks. Won't win no beauty contest, but most on a budget are just atfer spark inches per buck. Easier to repair mishaps too.

If you are that concerned over funds, why coat the secondary at all??
Its not really necessary performance wise.
