Could you also use a dual ganged 120v variac, one for each leg, or does that only work in the US where we use two 120v legs for 240v? I have used mine in such a way... -Rich

Yes, well if you think its hard finding parts in the US.....
looking for a 240v variac the only options Ive found "NZ wide" so far are :
NZ$200 Used NZ$250 New
Did find one on ebay for 9.95 (6 hrs left) , but shipping to NZ is US$60-70.
the search continues.....if anyone in NZ has something?...gotta try :-)
