Re: hot dog

Hello,
I used to cook hot dogs in my bedroom before microwave ovens where popular. I used to use a ham radio transmitter, a Heathkit Model DX-100. It ran about 100 watts output. I had to keep my hands on the output adjustments, and keep dipping the transmitter as it cooked.

One of my work colleagues is from Bulgaria. She recounted how she and
her colleagues at some institute in that country used to cook
sausages by simply poking a wire connected to each side side of the
mains supply into each end of the sausage (50Hz? 60 Hz?).
