Not run a syncronious gap on a NST is a good start... I sale them on ebay ...I never run a syn.gap on a NST, suker gap is the best...
A synchronous rotary spark gap is excellent for use with an NST. A synchonous gap gives smoother operation and longer sparks than the sucker gap.
