Re: Tesla Coil RF Transmitter

Familiar quote. Note the stress on transmission by CONDUCTION! No
miracles, no hidden technique. Problem with conduction is all in the
numbers and they say no way at all. I've posted my analysis several
times and no one has seemed interested in looking at the calculations
and commenting on them. I sure wish Tesla were around today to discuss
some of the problems and explain why no one (including himself) has ever
made the system work. If you read this quote carefully you will sure
get the impression that he intended Wardenclyffe only as a
communications (won't say radio because he hated radiation) transmitter,
as is often reported. No claim of transmitting power.

This stuff in Anderson is most interesting indeed and I wonder how many
people have studied it, including the part about using a vertical
antenna with resonant loading coil in his very early communication
experiments. The pictures of his equipment and the narrative are pretty
convincing, but he never published any of this work so we'll have to
take his word for the early date.
