Hi Gary,

I would recommend using the CDE942 series 0.10 uf 2000V cap. One series string of 20 would give you 5nf @ 40KV. However, you need to also compare the Ipeak and Irms ratings of what you are replacing. The 0.10 uf cap has a Ipeak of 288 amps and Irms of 12.1 amps.

I need to build an MMC cap.

The cap I am replacing is .005 uf 40KV.

Where do I buy the correct capacitors?

What are the best sizes caps to use?

What are the best type caps to buy?

What is the best way to connect them?
