Besides ones mentioned, try Fair Radio Sales and a couple other sources:

1) Your local auto junk yard. There are nice 12VDC motors on 
windshield wiper and heater blowers, especially on the older 
vehicles. A simple transformer and FW bridge rectifier will drive them fine.
2) What is called a universal motor will run on AC or DC, these are 
found on hand drills, sewing machines and other appliances.
Get a used electric drill from a pawn or second hand store, remove 
the gears and you have a nice motor. Even if the drill is not a 
variable speed one, the motor speed is variable by adjusting the 
voltage input and it is either AC or DC.
