Man, you are a brave soul to connect any type of Tesla coil to a computer in
any manner...

Looks like you are off to a good start. Keep in mind that the beauty of a
staccato controller is that the pulses are timed with the peak of the AC
sine wave. You won't get this timing using other methods.
