[TCML] output voltage of the double resonance Tesla transformer

hi,
the cited paper by j. l. reed contains the analytical solution for the time dependent voltage of the double resonance Tesla transformer.
the analytical solution is totally general. it is for any tuning ratio ([L2*C2] / [L1*C1]) and any coef. of coupling k. the paper also introduces the "frequency equation" for the transformer. the frequency ratio of the two waves running in the system can be set to anything the user desires; including the dreaded 2. it could be for example be pi.
the analytical solution is later optimized. this produced the analytical maximum which had never been done. that is why it was published as original work. dicolotli (sp?) never took a derivative. just look at the paper.
one does not want the transformer to oscillate very much at all as it is very stressful to capacitative components. the other paper performs no optimization does one see a derivative taken anywhere. if a derivative is not taken; and not set to zero; and not solved to see what parameter values drive it to zero: then nothing has been optimized. pethung did a parametric computer analysis; that is why he had to cite the reed paper for fnding the grand maxium.
by now
