Hi Chris,

the Method of
"Radio Instruments and Measurements" Circular C74, U.S. Department of
Commerce, National Bureau of Standards 1937 is adapted to, and implemented
in an Excel-spreadsheet for flat ribbon type flat spirals in:

http://home.datacomm.ch/k.schraner/FlatRibbonCoil.zip

This is the same, Bart Anderson has implemented in his
http://www.classictesla.com/java/flatribbon/flatribbon.html

It is also used, connected with TC-calculations, in my design Excel:

A copy of NBS Circular 74 is at Terry's site:

Best regards
             Kurt
