RE: [TCML] magnifier efficiency, was : Hi power/ little coil??

Hi,Were can I read more on this subject, Ive looked every were for information on Tesla Magnifiers and only found one website so far. Thanks ,Gareth

Finn,

I'm not sure if it was the foundation. Perhaps it was one of the
pillars of the myth.
In those days from what I could tell, not much was being done in a true
scientific
way. It was more a matter of, "Wow look at those powerful sparks".
Other
magnifier myths sprung up also such as the absolute need for a special
series quenching
spark gap.

I'm thinking though, that if the magnifier configuration permits the
overall (effective)
coupling (see Antonio's formula) to be a little tighter than in a
classic TC, then the
magnifier efficiency might be slightly better? Have you done any
experiments of that type?

Richard went to great lengths to point out that this was a proof of
efficiency, and of course it was: resonator coil/sparklength wise.

I wonder, however, if this became the foundation of the coiling myth,
that magnifiers are more efficient than standard coils, from an input
watts to sparklength point of view.

Cheers, Finn Hammer
