I drove my small 4" NST coil with a 14.4/25 pig, using
MOT's to ballast. It way outperformed anything an NST
could do, but you have to remember, each coil has a
limit to how much power it can take. You didn't
mention the pig voltage, but if it's free or cheap,
you should probably make room. They don't come along
every day.
