RE: [TCML] Baffle tally (was Secondary Troubles)



Hi Mr Zapp,

It's about time that I compiled and reported on the tally.  As expected there are very few reports of internal breakdown, and like yours, most seem to have occurred early in the coilers' experience.  It is important to understand if there were good reasons (i.e. poor construction) that a failure occurred.  I wanted to ask for your opinion as to whether you felt that the construction of the failed secondary was truly responsible.  If you say yes then I'll discount that report.  I'm not sure that the top of the secondary not being hermetically sealed constitutes poor construction; I think that most are not.
