Re: [TCML] Question about grounding connection for secondary.

Center post terminal works good. I use a 12 AWG wire soldered to the magnet
wire and place it inside the tube. Using standard plywood 1/2 inch endcaps,
and then use a 1/4-20 x 2 inch long brass bolt out the bottom end cap. I
use G.E. Silicone II (Ace Hardware) to build a thick covering over the
interior side of the brass bolt. I also use a 1/4 inch acrylic circular
baffle up inside the sec coilform approx 3-4 inches. Tight fit and then
silicone in place. Also, good idea to place a second block baffle approx
3-4 inches down from upper end. Tap down gently with the wood hammer
handle, and silicone in place.

I use the 1/4 inch brass stud (bolt) x 2 inches long which screws thru a
brass 1/2 x 2 x 2" brass plate on the underside of the upper oscillator base
plate. In this fashion you can just screw your secondary into the brass
plate and the ground hooks up with brass locks, flats, and 1/4 brass nut.
Use a 12 ga. wire to efficiently handle the peak currents.

On the upper end of sec be sure to leave the magnet wire outside the tube,
not inside, for toroid connection.

If you send me an email offlist, I think I have some photos of this
construction detail.
